Start with the design repeat

Provide artwork, the intended repeat width and height, and the towel dimensions. Identify which areas should show the pattern, whether the reverse appearance matters, and where the border starts. A design that works on a bath sheet may need a separate layout on a hand towel.

Approve colours in the fabric

Attach physical yarn or fabric references and identify the colour combinations required. Review a woven sample for contrast, pile coverage, reverse appearance and shade consistency. An electronic artwork approval establishes the layout; it does not establish the final textile colour.

Compare like-for-like quotations

Ask each supplier to distinguish the ground construction from the pile specification and state the finished GSM, dimensions and tolerances. Confirm design-development costs, quantities for each colourway and how an approved reference is retained for repeat orders.
