Fingertip towel and washcloth are assortment names that buyers may use differently across markets. In many collections, a fingertip towel is a small hand-drying item, while a washcloth is intended for washing. Confirm the actual dimensions and intended use instead of relying on the name.
Write a measurable product description
State length and width, composition, GSM, border and hem details. Identify whether the item belongs in a guest bathroom display, a hotel amenity arrangement or a retail washcloth pack. A rectangular decorative item and a small square washing cloth can need different approval criteria even if their fabric is similar.
If multiple sizes are proposed, request a labelled sample of each. Check the final fold and the usable fabric area around a border or logo.
Match decoration to the item
On a small towel, a wide border or large embroidered mark can occupy a significant part of the surface. Specify placement in centimetres from the finished edges. Review the full sample, including the reverse and any embroidery backing.

- Confirm fold, pack quantity and barcode.
- Check dimensions and appearance after washing.
Check the laundering and presentation
Use the care process intended for the collection. Review colour transfer, lint, dimensions, surface feel and seam condition using an agreed assessment. Do not infer a skin benefit or suitability for a medical use from softness or from the product name.
For hotels, discuss how items will be counted, stored and replenished. Different small items should have distinguishable stock codes and carton markings. For retail, show measurements on the pack and make the component count clear.
Make quotations comparable
Quote quantities by size, shade and packing format. A multipack and an individually wrapped decorative towel have different packing briefs. Record which development and branding requirements are included before comparing prices.
