A baby hooded towel combines a towel body with a shaped hood and, sometimes, decorative trims. A wholesale brief should specify the complete item, not just the towel fabric. Age descriptions, appearance and required testing need to be reviewed for the intended market before artwork and bulk production are approved.
Record the finished dimensions
State the towel body’s length and width, the hood dimensions and how each measurement is taken. If the product is folded diagonally or uses a shaped panel, provide a drawing. Define the intended age range with the buyer’s product requirements rather than assuming one size fits every child.
Confirm composition, fabric weight, edge binding and seam details. Check a finished sample for the shape and the way the hood sits relative to the towel body. Photographs alone do not show all construction details.
Review decoration as part of the product
List embroidery, appliqué, printed details and any attached components. Record their placement, backing and finished appearance. Ask the supplier to review development feasibility; do not assume a decorative option is included simply because similar products are shown online.
- Specify body and hood measurements.
- Identify all fabrics, bindings and trims.
- Approve seams and decoration placement.
- Confirm care, fibre and product labels.
- Identify destination-market review and testing needs.
Approve washed samples
Use the intended care process to check dimensions, surface appearance, colour transfer, seam condition and decoration. Record the trial conditions and acceptable outcomes. A soft sample or a cotton description does not by itself establish a health, safety or hypoallergenic claim.
If a certification or product claim is required, agree the exact claim and supporting documents before printing packaging. Do not put certification marks on a product based only on a supplier’s general website statement.
Plan packing and repeat orders
Provide the fold, wrap or gift-pack design, barcode position and carton quantities. Approve the packed sample so decoration remains visible and labels can be read. Give each size and colour a separate product code.
Keep the drawing, artwork version and approved sample together for reorders. Send your intended design and quantities to confirm whether Al Haseeb Textiles can develop the specified item. Related resources include our kids towel size and design guide and embroidery approval guide.
